Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2025-26 | Fully Funded

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2025-26 is the best scholarship program sponsored by the Government of Hungary for any international student. The grant aims for cultural understanding, economic growth, and bilateral cooperation between Hungary and other countries. This scholarship offers opportunities to advance higher education for students in Hungary as there are many fields and programs with wide varieties available for study.

Hungaricum Scholarship

This opportunity will bring a great chance to the hearts of all those students who are interested in studying higher education outside of their home country. This scholarship gives students a good opportunity to follow up on their study in one of the richest and economically stable countries in Europe. The graduates of Hungarian universities can work anywhere in Hungary, Europe or elsewhere, and they also have access to the alumni networks of their university and the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship program.

 

Foreign Affairs

Funded and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in partnership with the Tempus Public Foundation, education and cross-culture in Hungary and other countries have been funded through the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship. More than 60,000 students apply each year from over 90+ countries while only selected outstanding students have been qualified; hence, over 11,000 Stipendium Hungaricum scholars are currently studying in Hungary. 

International Students

Hungary has international students growing due to the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship providing 800 programs in English and other languages, thus increasing the ratio of highly qualified intellectuals.Fully funded scholarships in Hungary will enhance education and contribute toward human development; it will pave a path for international students toward a bright future.

Eligibility

  • Applicants should be nationals of one of the eligible countries stated above.
  • The applicants must be prepared to study in the programs offered by partner universities in Hungary.
  • The applicant has to commit to spending the tenure under the specific degree program chosen in order to excel forward.
  • The applicant should have a good academic record because the Hungary scholarship is very competitive.
  • To qualify for the undergraduate program, applicants are expected to have secondary school graduation certificates.
  • A bachelor's degree is necessary, and a master's degree would be necessary for application at the level of Ph.D. Only applicants for one-tier or non-degree programmes are required to present a Certificate of Student Status issued by the sending home university. The nominations would be done by the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Sending Partners, which will be the countries.

How to Apply?

  • Browse on the academic requirement of your preferred programme
  • Fill up the online application form
  • Write a motivational letter stating why you would want to study Hungarian university, stating why you are the right applicant for the scholarship.
  • Attach a language proficiency certificate, be it IELTS, TOEFL, or one that tests the state of Hungarian.
  • Submit your academic transcripts and diplomas.
  • Attach a medical certificate indicating that you are free from any disease or mental condition.
  • Attach a scanned copy of your passport or national identity card
  • Online application before the final deadline, usually in mid-January.
  • Wait for the date of receiving a response in the decision process around March 15th
  • Accept the given scholarship offer, within the deadline, usually June 30th, if selected
  • Prepare to study in Hungary.
