Tokyo Biennale Social Dive 2025: Fully Funded Residency for International Artists

Are you an artist looking for a unique chance to dive into Tokyo's vibrant culture? The Tokyo Biennale Social Dive 2025 is inviting artists from around the globe to join its exciting residency program. This could be a great opportunity for you to showcase your work and connect with the locals.

What is the Tokyo Biennale Social Dive?

The Tokyo Biennale is an exciting art event known for its bold and unique exhibitions that push the boundaries of contemporary art. In 2025, they’re launching a new program called the Social Dive Residency. This will give selected artists a chance to explore the theme Shall we 'Sanpo'? Through a series of art walks.

Sanpo means walking or wandering in Japanese, and this will be the main focus of the residency. Artists will immerse themselves in different Tokyo neighborhoods, walking around and connecting with the community to create new artwork inspired by these experiences.
