UBC, Canada is accepting applications for undergraduate programs

The University of British Columbia or UBC is a public research university in Canada committed to high quality teaching and conducting global research. Its campuses are located both in Vancouver and in Kelowna with one being ranked as one of the best institutions found in British Columbia.

Ranked among the top 20 public universities in the world, UBC ranks at #38 in QS World University Rankings 2025.

UBC is offering international Major Entrance Scholarship (IMES) to the excellent international students aiming to take admission in UBC undergraduate programs. An IMES is awarded to an incoming student at the commencement of his or her first year of study at UBC; the award is renewable for three additional years of study. The number and level of the awards made each year are subject to the availability of funding.

Eligibility

Applicant must be 

• new student at UBC and taking admission after completing secondary school;

• an international student and on a study visa (Canadian study permit);

• student with an impressive academic background and active in extracurricular activities and community engagement;

• Only receiving this scholarship (have not be on a need or other merit-based scholarship);

• Applied before UBC deadline;

• Full-time undergraduate student.
