I have already posted the countries with best higher education system, best universities of the whole world and each country individually and many other rankings like subject wise, international students’ population wise but what today I am sharing with you is entirely different from all others and even more important than them. I have told you that which country’s higher education system is top but the question here is what the education system is if students don’t attain it and it doesn’t affect their cognitive skills.
In this article I am sharing knowledge of the countries that are top in attaining the education and that have the highest of cognitive skills. This index today here proves that no matter how big your syllabus, university or teachers’ salary is or how big of a brand you are; doesn’t mean that they learn the most and are most skilled. You must have heard the story of Harvard’s debate team lost by a debate team of prisoners. Following are the countries that not only provide the quality education and knowledge but with that assure that students actually learn everything and students don’t just go the straight path like world but try new innovative approaches in life.
Our today’s education system is solely dependent on making students memorize what has already been discovered or invented and then they are tested about how much of it they remembered. Students that spend most time memorizing or have good memory get the best grades in exams and are considered most intelligent. This is what is wrong with our education system. We should definitely give students knowledge but with the purpose of producing the ability of thinking outside the box that make them intelligent enough to discover or invent what has not been yet. Here are the countries that have realized this fact to some extent and have proved to produce the best of the skilled students. Following are the countries and their global index rank of cognitive skills and education attainment.
3 - Singapore:
Singapore is one of the best study abroad destinations of Asia. Singapore has been providing quality education to international students for many years. No one ever expected Singapore to be third top in global index of cognitive skills and education attainment as in higher education system strength ranking of QS it was ranked 21st. Though its overall HESS rank may not be very good but still it is home to one of world’s most top higher educational institute, National University of Singapore that is ranked 12th best university of the world.
2 - Japan:
Very famous for its technology and discipline, Japan was ranked 2nd top country in global index of cognitive skills and education attainment. Though many people were shocked this accomplishment of Japan, however, I was not as Japan has the best school education system of the world. They teach students every necessary subject, make them disciplined by different practices like regularly cleaning the classroom and use innovative methods of teaching students to bring out their creativity. In the HESS rank of QS, Japan is ranked 10th best country of world.
1 - South Korea:
As always calculated, everyone was sure that United States of United Kingdom would be on top of this list. However, South Korea has proved all these misunderstandings wrong that people confuse with brands. Korean higher education system is ranked 9th best of the world. In Global Index of Cognitive Skills and Educational Attainment rankings, Korea was ranked most top. Korea was ranked 1st for ICT
