WHO Internship Program 2024 in Switzerland | Fully Funded

The WHO internship is for future leaders in public health. The World Health Organization (WHO) offers this international internship program for students and young graduates. The World Health Internship Programme is available for Bachelors, Masters, or PhD students. Most of the internship positions in this WHO internship program are open at the World Health Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

WHO Programs

WHO programs to benefit from the enrollment of students in various fields related to technical and administrative programs of WHO. The WHO provides fully funded internships to international students in technical areas and administrative programs, including external relations, communication, or human resources.

World Health Organization

The World Health Organization leads global public health issues and is dedicated to building a diverse pool of future youth leaders in public health. WHO offers a vast range of opportunities to international students and recent graduates for gaining insight and knowledge into the technical and administrative programs of WHO. WHO Internship 2024 would further help them to enrich their knowledge and experience in different areas which finally lead towards the betterment of public health.

  • 6 to 24 weeks
  • A framework for placing qualified students from a variety of academic backgrounds in WHO programs and places that have available opportunities for capacity building to enhance the quality of their education.
  • This will also allow WHO programs to benefit through participation by students majoring in different fields related to technical and administrative programs of WHO.
  • Technical programs offering internship opportunities as part of their administrative communications, external relations, or human resources programs

Eligibility

  • The applicants should have reached an age of at least 25 years on the date of submission.
  • Should be studying a formal qualification in any university or its equivalent, including undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate degree qualification.
  • The kind of qualification in pursuit should lie within the public health, medical, or social field relating to WHO technical work or management, communications, administrative, or external relations-related field.
  • Applicants who have already graduated are also eligible if they apply for the internship within six months after the completion of their qualification.
  • They should have satisfactorily completed three years of their undergraduate degree.
  • All Undergraduate students, Master's, as well as, PhD applicants can apply.
  • There is no specified language proficiency requirement like IELTS; however, applicants must be able to communicate fluently in at least one of the WHO office working languages.
  • Must not be a member of the WHO staff, direct family members to a WHO staff member, such as daughter, son, brother, sister, mother or father
  • The applicant should not have already participated in any of the WHO's Internship Programme
  • Valid passport from a WHO Member State.
