Global Korea Scholarship GKS 2025 is also referred to as the Korean Government Scholarship for international students. The purpose of this program is to give international students the chances of higher studies in preeminent institutes in Korea. The government of Korea wanted to increase international education exchange between Korea and other participating countries. 

Global Korea Scholarship Degree Program

The Global Scholarship Program in Korea offers two degree programs:

• Undergraduate degree program 
• Second associate degree Program

GKUS

The Global Korea Undergraduate scholarship will cover all of the full cost of staying and studying in South Korea. Through this scholarship, the students will be presented with the opportunity to develop skills and capabilities on an international level as well as stay and study free of cost in South Korea. The 2025 undergraduate degree Global Korea Scholarship will foster mutual cooperation of Korea with other participating countries. Such relationships are beneficial for both Korea as well as the participating countries. Students will also get a chance to make a network worldwide, which will assist them in the future.

• Associate degree: 2-3 years degree program + 1 year of the Korean language course 

• Undergraduate Degree: 4-6 years of the degree program + 1 year of the Korean language course

GKS Scholarship

• The Global Korea Scholarship GKS-U 2025 is offering 367 fully funded undergraduate Scholarships in Korea.

Eligibility  

• Citizens of NIIED designated countries under Global Korea Undergraduate Scholarship.
• Should not hold dual citizenship or Korean citizenship.
• High school graduates or high school graduates with an associate degree program application are accepted to pursue a bachelor's degree.
• High school graduates with an associate degree, or those who are graduating soon, can apply for an associate degree.
• The GKS 2025 program does not accept international students who have already completed their bachelor's degree.
• Only such associate degree holders can apply through bachelor's degrees.
• For international candidates, CGPA will be more than that; for example, the score percentile has to be 80% and above that means CGPA equal or above 2.64/4.00.
• Applicants age should be below 25 years, applying for the South Korea scholarship.
• Applicants must be in good mental and physical health.
• They must submit all requirements or certificates involving the English Language.

How to Apply?

• All the required fields on the online application should be filled in fully.
• Attach your required documents, which include:
• Personal statement
• Study plan
• Academic transcript
• Language proficiency test
• Proof of citizenship
• Recommendation letter
• Has to attach recommendations actually.
• Submit your online application form.
• Print out the hard copy of your form and sign it.
• Share both the signed application form and a required document with either the Korean embassy or a university, depending on your application track.
