The scholarship will be awarded in the Faculty of Graduate Studies program offered by the Brock University
Eligibility Criteria:
A Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) at the time of the application deadline;
Enrolled at a publicly-assisted university in Ontario in a full-time program of study that leads to a graduate degree and is approved for operating grant purposes by the ministry; and Enrolled in 60% or more of a full course load as defined by the university, or 40% or more for students with permanent disabilities.

These awards are available to all high-achieving students enrolled in or applying for admission to a graduate program on a full-time basis at Brock. The value of an OGS award for one year is $15,000.

Faculties will nominate eligible students based on the Faculty’s award allocation. Students will be selected based on academic excellence as demonstrated through their application for admission to the graduate program.
Eligibility
International students who are registered full time and assessed international tuition fees.
Normally given to students in research-based programs (thesis or major research paper).
Will normally only be given to students entering the first term of their program (term 1.0).
Students must demonstrate academic excellence through criteria established by the Faculty.
Students must meet the academic progress requirements of their program and not have outstanding probationary admission requirements.
Normally, students should not be concurrently receiving foreign government or agency sponsorship (e.g., China Scholarship Council, Libyan sponsorship, etc) or be fully or partially self-funded in excess of the Faculty minimum levels of support.

Admissions Assessment
Admission to the University is assessed based on a holistic approach. Prospective students are generally expected to have a good academic record in addition to satisfying the subject prerequisites for the programmes they are applying to. Benefits
The scholarship offers $5,000 toward the tuition of international students for their first year of study. The award is divided equally between Term 1 and Term 2 tuition fees.
