Benefits
The scholarship provides a financial award of $7,000 per year for up to four years, supporting tuition, living, or other educational expenses.
The ARC ITTC Composites for Sustainable Mining (the Centre) will commence its operations in May 2023 and operate over the next five years. The key objective of the Centre is the effective and rigorous training of young professionals through higher degree research that is both custom made and value added, to find appropriate solutions to the current challenges and problems faced by the Mining Equipment, Technology and Service (METS) sectors.
The Centre will not only produce a workforce that meets future skills demands but will also develop sustainable and cost-effective mining equipment and high efficiency mining technologies to benefit the nation’s manufacturing and mining sectors.
Benefits
The eligible candidates will receive the scholarship in the following forms:
An accommodation allowance is provided to all Forest Scholars which is approximately about $21,447 per annum,
Research expenses like attending conferences, publications, overseas tours and other travel cost will be covered by another stipend up to $12,000 given to scholars,
Immediate dependents (spouse, child etc.) will also be facilitated by airfare ticket (economy class) and two-bedroom apartment.
Eligibility
The scholarship is available to new or returning international students who hold a student visa, are studying on campus and enrol in an undergraduate, postgraduate coursework or outdoor leadership vocational education and training course.
Condition
Avondale awards the scholarship at census data subject to the recipients: Meeting requirements for admission as enrolled students in four units per semester (undergraduate course), two units per semester (postgraduate coursework course) or all applicable units of competency in tri-semester one (vocational education and training course), and; Completing the Avondale International Scholarship Application Form.
Events and activities that increase social connections and community involvement.
Sporting activities, mental health awareness events, volunteering, leadership programs, and multicultural events.
Travel costs associated with events or activities (up to 50% of total grant funding).
Fees for facilitators or consultants for proposed activities or events (up to 50% of total grant funding).
Catering costs (food and non-alcoholic beverages) up to 25% of the total value of the grant.
