The applicants can apply for PhD studies at the University of Alberta.
Criteria:
The applicants must be registered in a full-time in masters or doctoral program in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences.
The applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Academic Requirements
For PhD applicants in School of Engineering Science: a Master of Science degree is required by SFU Engineering Science
For outstanding applicants with only a Bachelor degree, we can admit you as a Master student and then transfer you to a PhD student after one year. This is essentially the same as admitting as a PhD student directly in US.
For PhD applicants in School of Computing Science: direct PhD admission from undergraduate students is allowed by SFU Computing Science

OGS awards are based on the number of terms of your consecutive studies within an academic year:
- $10,000 for 2 consecutive study terms

Scholarship Benefits:
For both undergraduate and graduate students, entrance scholarships are automatically considered, easing the process of application. International students have access to a variety of scholarships, including the sought-after International Student Scholarships, which can be worth up to $9,000 distributed over four years. Further options include the Gold Standard Scholarship, providing up to $6,000, and the Doctoral Recruitment Scholarship, with a value of $5,000 annually. Master’s students are also well-supported with the Master’s Entrance Scholarship, which comes with a stipend of $17,500, and an additional $10,000 for international Master’s students to help cover their fees. Graduate students can also compete for the esteemed Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (AGES), which ranges from $11,000 to $15,000.
