PhD Scholarship Details
This PhD project aims to document the manifestation of ‘elsewhere’ in periodical publishing in Ireland since 1922.
The research will utilize a mixed-methodology approach underpinned by Digital Humanities techniques to produce a survey of recent and emerging trends in Irish periodical publishing.
The project will engage deeply with cultural, creative, and critical debates on diversity and inclusion in the Irish arts sector, culminating in a comprehensive survey of the iterations of internationalism in literary journals.

The Centre for the Study of Historic Irish Houses and Estates (CSHIHE), Department of History, Maynooth University, Republic of Ireland, in conjunction with The Office of Public Works (OPW), is offering a PhD in History Scholarship (full-time, fully funded over four years), commencing in September 2024.
The successful candidate should have either a first-class honours BA degree in History or equivalent, or at least a 2:1 honours in an MA in History or equivalent degree.
