Eligibility Criteria

The McKenzie Fellowship is open to early-career researchers worldwide. To be eligible, candidates must:

• Have earned a PhD in any discipline from a recognized university, including the University of Melbourne.
• Have received their PhD no sooner than March 17, 2022 (for the 2026 fellowship entry).
• Be able to begin their fellowship on June 30, 2026.
• I have not previously held a McKenzie, Mary Lugton, Puzey, or Melbourne Postdoctoral Fellowship.
• Ensure they do not have any outstanding University of Melbourne progress or final reports from previous research projects.

Financial Benefits

McKenzie Postdoctoral Fellowships Program 2025 is fully funded for qualifying students who are completely committed to their research. Some of the benefits are listed below:

• Three years of full-time analysis (1.0 FTE) at Academic Level A6, including full salary scale, on-cost, and superannuation.
