OIST Research Internship Program Description
The OIST Graduate School offers education and research opportunities through our Research Internship program in STEM fields. The internship is typically 3 to 6 months. These short-term placements give students the opportunity to gain experience in a particular laboratory or to learn a specific technique. Research Interns will work under the direction of a Professor and contribute to the research activities of OIST.
Support
The following supports are only available for the research intern and do not extend to dependents, family members, or others.

The Duration of the internship is 5 Weeks. Participants will arrive and work in Aichi, Japan. The Internship will take place from June 23rd to July 31st, 2025. Bachelors Students: Must have completed a secondary education if applying for an Undergraduate program.
Master Students: Must have completed an Undergraduate program if applying to a Master’s.
Ph.D. Students: Applicants with a master’s degree are eligible to apply for Doctoral Degree programs.
