To qualify for the WAS, applicants must:
- Admission Status: Hold an offer letter from the Maastricht School of Management for the MBA program.
- Nationality: International students (non-EU).
- Academic Requirements: Meet MSM's basic admission requirements.

This Summer School is organized by the United Nations University-Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT) and Funded by the Global Gateway initiative of the European Union.
ITU UNU MERIT Summer School 2025
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory.
Professionals: Individuals actively working on projects related to digital transformation or sustainability.
Government Officials: Policymakers from developing countries are strongly encouraged to apply.
Other Professionals: Employees from public, private, and non-governmental organizations involved in digital development and technology are eligible.
Participants are expected to actively engage in all Summer School activities.

Eligibility
Applicant must have non- European passport
Must have a strong academic background (top 10 students in each field will be consider for scholarship)
If applicant have already received a degree from Leiden University then he/ she is not eligible to submit application
Students who already receiving a scholarship from Netherland cannot apply for Leiden University excellence scholarship program


Profile
You have obtained, or shortly expect to obtain, a Master's degree, preferably in public international law, though a Master’s in another discipline will also be considered if it includes a significant component dedicated to international law.
You have strong analytical skills and excellent academic writing skills, as evidenced by your CV.
You are enthusiastic and curious, have perseverance, willpower and the ability to conduct independent scientific research and publish the results thereof.
You display a proactive and flexible attitude.
You possess an excellent command of written and spoken English.
