This opportunity for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in leading edge research projects as part of the summer student program offered by the Germany HZDR. Systematically near the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, this eight-week work opportunity allows the work to be carried out side by side with experts at the HZDR research center in Dresden, Germany. The work experience presents a unique opportunity for students in research fields as diverse as particle physics, nuclear physics, radiation oncology, materials science, biophysics, and environmental research.
International Undergraduates Students
The program is open to undergraduates from other countries who have completed at least three years of university studies in physics, chemistry, biology, or allied fields. Fluent knowledge of English is necessary, and students must be available for the full lifetime of eight weeks. After successful selection, a stipend of nearly €1,900 per month will be received, along with free accommodation and travel encouragement. A part of the program will be lectures, seminars, and soft skills training for improving scientific knowledge of the students and professional development.
