Busy Life:
Going abroad for education and it is going to be so much fun, you will go to big beautiful universities where there will be all different sort of people who have different skin color, language, culture, and lifestyle and you will make friends with them visit whole country and enjoy your entire time there; at least this is what every student is told or he/she had hopes but sorry to say that all might not be exactly true. Why you ask? First of all think why you are even going there. Definitely for study, and with that you will most probably also be working. Now tell me, how much time you think lectures, self-study and job take. Answer to that is just your whole day.
Here is what people don’t tell about studying abroad that fun part comes last first you will be struggling for a minutes to yourself. I say it from personal experience that even balancing between study and job is pretty difficult. You sometime don’t get time for studies because of job and sometime you can’t concentrate on your work because of studies. However, both are crucial part of studying abroad. If you want to enjoy, you will need to setup a good schedule for you and get some time out of this busy life to hang out with friends. Do remember, that your first priority should always be study and then next comes work if you can’t afford your expenses without it.
It gets quite difficult at start and you even feel like giving up but it does not mean that it is not possible to enjoy your time with doing studies and work. I myself managed all three of the things. Just remember that you are short on time here and you need as much time in a day as possible which you lost a great by waking up late. Get this into your routine to daily wake up early in the morning and a young boy or girl do not really need sleep of more than 6 hours; so, unless there is a special case to it, don’t waste your time snugging.

Budgeting:
Some students call it to be the most difficult thing to do. First do know that budgeting is really important and you will have to do it while studying abroad. Everyone in home, guide or counselor will advise you to keep a track of spending. Budgeting is one of the best ways to save money while studying abroad. Here see How to Save Money While Studying Abroad. You will have a short monthly budget to spend and so many things to spend on i.e. food, transportation, stationaries, fees, rents etc. By budgeting you divide the whole sum into day’s budget and then day’s budget into the things you will spend on.
This way you know where all your money is going and if you spent some unnecessary that needs to be controlled. If you don’t follow the budget, you will end up broke without any financial resources with you before the end of the month and then most probably be borrowing from others. Now the problem is that it is not very easy to keep a log of all your expenses and know exactly how much you have, how you have spent and how much more you can spend. You need to quite good at math and also need to have self-control to actually the budget. Just make sure that you do have a budget planned in best way possible no matter how difficult or time taking it is.
I can recall a friend who when moved away from home for studies, had no budget planned and ended up spending a great deal of money just like he used to do back at home. He did not even realize and ran out of money then called his dad for more money. As his dad knew him he took over two weeks to send the half of the demanded amount. By then, he had to borrow from me. It was really funny watching him if you had been there.
Irritating Friends:
Meeting with new and different people from different language background and nationalities, making friends with them and then hanging out with a group of diverse friends; is the part most students are excited about. I can assure you that you will make many friends from all around the world may be not exactly as you might have thought but you will have great and fun time. But you know friends fight. All people are from different backgrounds, lived in different cultures, have different values; means they will have different personalities and it can often cause misunderstandings. For example, someone might say or do something you don’t like but it is alright from their perspective.
Other than this, it is also quite possible that you get stuck with bad people. It also happens that you get annoyed by your friends with the passage of time and it is normal by the way. Just do keep in mind that they are good friends, may be different from your but no bad. In any situation when you have fight with them, it is recommended to behave and think like an adult instead acting childish and do not break friendship or covert it into hatred.
Not Exactly Party:
Some youngsters think that because they are going to abroad for education, it will be all like party. They have a picture in mind that every night they will be throwing one hell of a party and you will waste your whole nights just like this. There will be parties, more than what you get in your countries’ universities but I can assure you that it will not be exactly like you have planned. Party is basically everywhere where your friends are. The problem is that some of these parties might have a bit too much of a clash against your culture and cultural values which you will need to respect and limit yourself that is the best thing to do. In addition, there won’t be as much as you expect. There will be sometimes when you hang out with friends at some big gathering but that will happened after you get past what is shared in the first point.
