Academic Requirements

For PhD applicants in School of Engineering Science: a Master of Science degree is required by SFU Engineering Science

For outstanding applicants with only a Bachelor degree, we can admit you as a Master student and then transfer you to a PhD student after one year. This is essentially the same as admitting as a PhD student directly in US.

For PhD applicants in School of Computing Science: direct PhD admission from undergraduate students is allowed by SFU Computing Science 

3M National Student Fellowship 2023.

Benefits:

• Recognition in STLHE and 3M Canada social media, and partnering media, e.g., Maclean’s and University Affairs
• Certificate and recognition at the annual Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) conference in June
• Letter from STLHE President and 3M Canada to their identified institutional leader and to the individual awarded
• STLHE membership for two years
• Conference registration, travel to the conference, and accommodations
• $2,000 to be spent at the discretion of the recipient.

Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) Program 2023.

Benefits:

OGS awards are based on the number of terms of your consecutive studies within an academic year:

• $10,000 for 2 consecutive study terms
• $15,000 for 3 consecutive study terms

University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships

Eligibility:

Student must have a minimum admission GPA of 3.0 to be considered for the awrd .Please contact your Department as they may have a higher GPA requirement.

Students must have been admitted as a full-time student without provision or have cleared provisional admission as a Master's or PhD student in a graduate program at the Uniersity of Manitoba.

Eligible Course or Subjects: 

 Canadian and foreign national students are eligible.

The applicants can apply for PhD studies at the University of Alberta.

Criteria: 

The applicants must be registered in a full-time in masters or doctoral program in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences.

The applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
