Eligibility requirements
Applicants must have completed an Australian university recognised master's by research or bachelor honours degree with first class or second class / division 1 honours, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate research studies.
Applicants must also meet the English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications set by the participating organisations. Each university may have slightly varied English proficiency requirements for PhD candidates.
The academic supervisors may also have their specific requirements.
Taiwan - University of Sydney Scholarship.
Value of the Scholarship:
- A stipend equal to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) rate, which is adjusted yearly on January 1st, will be awarded to Scholarship holders who enroll full-time. - For a maximum of 14 research periods, full-time scholarship recipients will also be reimbursed for their tuition.
- In order to pursue their research degree, Scholarship holders may be awarded a concurrent award, scholarship, or pay, provided that the benefit of the additional award, scholarship, or salary is less than 75% of the Scholarship. If this threshold is surpassed, the scholarship will be canceled. This cap does not apply to the student's salary for jobs unrelated to their study.
- Recipients of the award are not permitted to hold another scholarship that covers tuition costs concurrently.

Fully Funded Australian Government Research Scholarship 2023-24, Australia.
Scholarship benefits
For Research Masters degree recipients, the Australian Government Research Scholarship 2023-24 provides an annual tax-free living allowance of AUD $29,863 for up to 2 years. For those pursuing a Research Doctoral degree, the scholarship extends the living allowance for up to 3 years.
